Browns fans have decided: Play the veterans or the youth?

Each week during season, Cleveland Browns fans vote in SB Nation Reacts to express their confidence level in the team or their thoughts on other topics.

After their loss to the Steelers in Week 14, the Browns’ confidence dropped to 28%, a decrease of 13 percentage points from the previous week. It was a disappointing game after an electrifying Monday night game, and now there isn’t much left to be excited about for these final four games. Sure, there are a couple of division games that we can try to play spoiler with, and beating the Chiefs at home would be enjoyable, but it’d also impact our draft position at this point.

The Chiefs’ confidence is at 76% after their 12-1 start.

We asked two other questions about the Browns this week, the first of which asked what approach the teams should take for the rest of the season — should they play the best players to win, or should they start playing more young guys for evaluation purposes? 86% of fans want the team to just use this time to evaluate the youth, placing less of a priority on winning with the veteran players.

The other question asked whether the Browns should make a temporary change at kicker to let Dustin Hopkins get his issues straightened out. 57% of fans think that Hopkins should sit and let someone else kick, as opposed to having him work through things on the fly.

Fans on a national level were asked who they think will cover the spread between the Browns and the Chiefs. The Browns are 4.5 point underdogs to the Chiefs on Sunday, per FanDuel Sportsbook. 73% of people think the Chiefs will cover, which would be the first time they’ve won a game by more than three points since Week 9 against the Buccaneers.
