For the first time in what seems all season, the Cleveland Browns have finally gotten some positive news, positive vibes and a reason to tune in. All of that revolves around RB Nick Chubb as he looks to return from injury. The vibes were obvious as Chubb’s Browns teammates cheered for him as he started his press conference and the reason to tune in was obvious in the running back’s letter to Cleveland.
The good news came when Chubb was listed as a full participant in practice Wednesday. Cincinnati Bengals QB Joe Burrow was also a full participant but was on the injury report with a right wrist injury.
The Battle of Ohio has mostly gone the Browns way during Burrow’s time with DE Myles Garrett causing a lot of problems for the talented quarterback. With Cleveland’s quarterback struggling, the defense might have to win the game with Chubb adding a big boost on the other side.
On to the Wednesday injury report:
Browns Injury Report
- RB Nick Chubb – Knee – Full
- S Grant Delpit – Concussion – Limited
- CB Martin Emerson – Rib – Full
- RB Jerome Ford – Hamstring – DNP
- RB D’Onta Foreman – Groin – Limited
- DE Myles Garrett – Achilles – Limited
- S Ronnie Hickman Jr. – Ankle – DNP
- LB Jordan Hicks – Elbow, Triceps – Limited
- RB Nyheim Hines – Knee – Full
- TE David Njoku – Ankle – Full
- OL Ethan Pocic – Knee – DNP
- S Juan Thornhill – Calf – Limited
- CB Denzel Ward – Hamstring – Limited
- OL Jedrick Wills – Shoulder, Knee – Limited
For Cleveland, having three not practicing to start the week is a good thing. Getting Delpit back on the field along with Hicks is big as is Garrett and Njoku practicing. What the team plans to do at center is still up in the air with Pocic not practicing and Nick Harris on IR.
Bengals Injury Report
- QB Joe Burrow – Right Wrist – Full
- CB DJ Ivey – Knee – Full
- DT Kris Jenkins – Thumb – Full
- CB DJ Turner II – Ankle – Limited
Obviously seeing Burrown on the report is eye-opening but Cincinnati is likely focused on transparency after some controversy last year. Burrow attempted 28 passes last week in the Bengals 17-7 win over the New York Giants and ran the ball four times for 55 yards. Barring a significant setback, he’ll be starting Sunday.
