The Buffalo Bills held a walkthrough practice on Wednesday, trying to navigate a short work for Week 7. Their win on Monday Night Football left them with little time for rest as they prepare to host the Tennessee Titans on Sunday afternoon.

Buffalo’s first injury report of Week 7 doesn’t offer a lot of insight, but let’s check which players’ progress we should be following the rest of this week.

New Buffalo Bills names on Week 7 injury list

  • FB Reggie Gilliam (hamstring)
  • TE Dalton Kincaid (collarbone)
  • G Connor McGovern (shoulder)

Of these, the only one that might be worrisome is Kincaid. McGovern was a full participant and Gilliam is not an every-down player, so managing his injury shouldn’t prove difficult. However, a tight end with an injured collarbone could be troublesome.

Buffalo Bills players improving in Week 7

  • QB Josh Allen (left hand)
  • RB James Cook (toe)
  • DT Austin Johnson (oblique)
  • DT Ed Oliver (hamstring)
  • WR Khalil Shakir (ankle)

Josh Allen’s ankle injury has disappeared and now it’s just back to managing the hand injury he’s dealt with the last four weeks. The other four names above started out the last week not practicing. Now, Cook and Oliver are limited, and in fact head coach Sean McDermott said there’s a possibility we could see them in uniform on Sunday, but that tomorrow’s practice will be key. Johnson and Shakir went from not practicing, to playing, to being listed as full practice participants — and it’s good news that their game reps didn’t set them back at all.

Buffalo Bills players now off injury list in Week 7

  • LS Reid Ferguson (previous designation: elbow)
  • S Taylor Rapp (previous designation: concussion)
  • WR Curtis Samuel (previous designation: toe)
  • EDGE Javon Solomon (previous designation: hip)

Buffalo Bills players who are status quo Week 7 injury list

  • Terrel Bernard (pectoral)
  • RB Darrynton Evans (hamstring) *still in 21-day practice window opened on 10/8
  • WR Mack Hollins (shoulder)
  • CB Taron Johnson (forearm)
  • DT DaQuan Jones (foot)
  • TE Quintin Morris (shoulder)
  • QB Mitch Trubisky (knee)

With the exception of Evans, there’s no reason to keep too close an eye on this group. They all played Week 6. Each of them continue to receive treatment and have the team monitoring lingering injuries.

Tennessee Titans player injuries to monitor for Week 7

  • DT Keondre Coburn — hasn’t played since suffering a knee injury in Week 4; still not practicing
  • CB L’Jarius Sneed — injured his quad in Titans’ loss to Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, but still played 65 defensive snaps and recorded seven solo tackles
  • RB Tyjae Spears — left Sunday’s game in the second half; now considered week to week with a hamstring injury
  • WR Treylon Burks — Burks, who only played nine snaps on Sunday, showed up on Wednesday’s report with a knee injury that kept him limited in practice

Tennessee Titans players who are status quo in Week 7

  • QB Will Levis (shoulder)
  • LB Cedric Gray (shoulder)
  • WR DeAndre Hopkins (rest)
  • LB Kenneth Murray, Jr. (rest)
  • DT Jeffery Simmons (rest)

Thursday’s practice, and subsequent injury reports, will give us a better idea of those injuries we should dive deeper into to see how they might affect Sunday’s inactive lists.
